Vision

why we exist.

We have established studio eighty twenty for two main reasons. First, we love art and have a blast producing it. To fund our explorations requires a little extra cash for supplies. That’s were the “twenty” comes in. Through the sales of our art we retain twenty percent of the proceeds which goes back towards purchasing art supplies, thereby sustaining our creative interests. The second reason for our existence is actually the most important. The remaining eighty percent of our proceeds goes towards helping fund local organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to providing for those in need.

Composed of those that have expressed a vision for helping those in need, the artists at studio eighty twenty would rather see their art sales used to make a difference in the lives of the homeless, the abused, the neglected, and those in poverty than for their own financial gain. We invite you to join with us in the spirit of giving. Together with your support, we are committed to helping those in the greatest need right here in our local community.

2) Artist's work is sold to collectors who write two checks: One check to the organization of their choice for eighty percent of the price of the art and the other check to the artist for the remaining twenty percent. 

Rather than have us donate to local organizations, we would rather use our studio to spur on the spirit of giving by having our customers donate directly to the organization of their choice from our list of non-profits. Our customers write a check directly to the organization of their choice for eighty percent of the price of the artwork, place it in the organization’s envelope, and we make sure they receive it.  Not only that... by donating directly to their selected organization, our customers obtain all the tax benefits from each sale. It’s just another incentive to work with us as we strive to help out our community through our passion for art.

Our collectors select where they would like their 80% to be directed, from our list of organizations. If you are interested in having an organization included in this list feel free to suggest it to us. We'll check it out and may include it in an upcoming show. Our current list includes:
